Cat Killer

The first description of the notorious ‘M25 Cat Killer’, formerly known as the ‘Croydon Cat Killer’ has been released.

The attacker has been at large since 2015, claiming over 300 animals lives. This includes cats, foxes and rabbits amongst others.

The only way the animals are linked is in their death, many are mutilated with tails, heads or other body parts cut away.

South Norwood Animal Rescue and Liberty (SNARL) released a description of someone who is possible linked to the killings.

The description, shared to the group’s Facebook page, said: “A man in his 40s, white, with short brown hair, between 5’8″ and 5’11”, average build, possibly with some acne scarring to his face, dressed in dark clothing, with or without a torch, trying to coax cats with a toy or feed them, or looking [into] or entering gardens.

“He may be wearing a headlamp or carrying a torch.

“Do not approach, just call police.

“This is a very general description which could fit any number of people.

“It will not make you a hero or do you any favours if you harm someone innocent.”

SNARL, PETA and Outpaced are all offering a £10,000 reward for any information that could lead to the arrest and conviction of the killer.

If you see the man described please dial 999 quoting Operation Takahe and call SNARL on 07957 830490 or 07961 030064.
